Research Interests
I have broad interests in child and adolescent development, particularly emotional development. I am interested in the effects of attachment relations on the development of emotional abilities and understanding. I am also interested in how different parenting techniques can affect the emotional development of children.
Currently, I’m investigating the development of self-conscious emotions. Specifically, I am looking at the ways in which different parental discipline strategies may affect experiences of guilt and shame in adolescents
