Director and Professor Keith Gardiner announced that officials from CMSE will seek out information and advice from faculty, employers and former students in an effort to revamp the program.
Gardiner believes that that program needs to change direction to solidify a stronger connection to today's modern trends.
CMSE, which began in the early 1980s, is a cross-disciplinary program teaming faculty together from the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science, the College of Business and Economics and the College of Arts and Science. The Center was created in response to the expressed needs of industry for educational and research activities directed at solving problems of manufacturing industries.
Classes are offered on campus and online through Lehigh’s Distance Education Program for students worldwide.
Over 390 degrees have been handed out by the program since its inception.
