Lehigh CPN to host seminar on next-generation communication

Lehigh's Center for Photonics and Nanoelectronics welcomes UCLA Wintek Endowed Chair and Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering Frank Chang for his presentation, "Next-Generation Communication, Radar and Imaging Systems-on-Chip," as part of the 2014 CPN seminar series.

The event will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 4 p.m. in STEPS 101.

Dr. Chang will discuss various design techniques developed at UCLA to overcome the CMOS technology drawback in order to implement highly integrated and portable radio, radar, and imaging systems with unprecedented spectra coverage, energy efficiency, compact size, and cost effectiveness.

Dr. Chang, who joined UCLA in 1997, is director of UCLA's High Speed Electronics Lab. His career has focused on developing high-speed semiconductor devices and integrated circuits for RF and mixed-signal communication, Radar, interconnect and imaging systems.
