Andrew (Drew) Freed is currently President and CEO of Medical Device Investment Holdings Corporation. The company, based in Malvern, PA, develops, acquires and licenses intellectual property to the medical device industry. Prior to that, he was Chairman and CEO of UTI Corporation, which operated 13 manufacturing facilities throughout North America and Europe. UTI Corporation, founded in 1947, provides medical device companies with a comprehensive outsourcing solution that includes designing, engineering and manufacturing of their specialized, high-precision medical devices.

Drew currently serves as a trustee of Ursinus College, located in Collegeville, PA. He is a member of the board of trustees at the International House of Philadelphia, where he has served as vice chair of the board of trustees and chair of the audit and finance committee. He is a trustee of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he chairs the audit and compliance committee and is a past member of the finance committee as well as the clinical quality committee. He is a member of the Engineering Advisory Council at Lehigh University and is a past chapter chair of the Philadelphia chapter of the Young President's Organization.

He currently sits on the board of directors of Micro Coax manufacturer of electronic transmission devices based in Pottstown, PA, and on the board of advisors of Benjamin Obdyke Inc., a manufacturer of residential building products based in Jenkintown, PA.

He received his bachelor's degree in metallurgy and materials engineering from Lehigh University in 1983 and holds a master's degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

Drew resides in Bluffton, SC, with his wife, Sig, a son, Russell, and a daughter, Abby. His interests include golf, ice hockey and traveling.
