Human Subjects

Meeting Schedule: The IRB committee meets on the 2 nd Tuesday of every month (except March which is usually the 3 rd week due to Spring Break). Proposals/protocols requiring full committee review must be received FOUR WEEKS before the meeting.

Effective April 15, 2009, all proposals for the use of human subjects must be submitted through IRBNet.org.  The ORSP is adopting the use of IRBNet for human subjects protocols in an effort to reduce manual and paper-based procedures and streamline protocol submission and review processes.  Some of IRBNet’s many features include electronic document management, web-based protocol sharing and collaboration, automatic notifications, electronic submissions and reviews, and important audit capabilities.

IRBNet is secure, web-based, and easy to use.  You may access IRBNet from virtually any computer using a web browser by visiting "http://www.irbnet.org".  You may self-register as part of the Lehigh University community and immediately begin using IRBNet for your submission.
