LVAIC Coalition for Racial and Ethnic Diversity

The Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC) Coalition for Racial and Ethnic Diversity has the following objectives:

  • To provide opportunities for the directors of multicultural affairs/intercultural development/institutional diversity offices with LVAIC to work collectively on programs that would benefit our students from historically under-represented groups
  • To offer support to one another
  • To offer opportunities to bring faculty, staff, and students together to network and interact
  • To advocate for social justice and more inclusive campus communities
  • To coordinate programs that engage faculty, administrators and staff in relevant issued related to social justice, diversity and inclusion

The coalition is committed to social justice work and will ensure that this theme is reflected in all the work we do. Past events include guest lectures, student leadership workshops, semi-formals for students, and faculty and administrator workshops.

The members of the LVAIC Coalition for Racial and Ethnic Diversity include Cedar Crest College, Desales University, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, Moravian College and Muhlenberg College.
