Professional MaSter's DEGREE
in Technical Entrepreneurship
(M.Eng.)

Lehigh's one-year, 30-credit professional master's program (M.Eng.) in technical entrepreneurship helps student entrepreneurs create, refine, and commercialize intellectual property through the licensing or launching of a new business. Students in the program learn by experiencing the idea-to-venture process in an educational environment that's hard-wired to support the development of novel, innovative, and commercially-viable technologies.

The business community -- from young startups to the Fortune 500 -- recognizes the need for creative and innovative minds with the skills to lead and manage product development. In addition, many national and state agencies require grant recipients to commercialize research. Graduates of the TE M.Eng. program are well-positioned to take on complex product development roles and assignments. Students completing the program are equipped to launch their own companies, products, and ventures; they may also work at existing companies such as startups and in new product development areas in larger companies.

Built upon a heritage of success

Lehigh University's undergraduate Integrated Product Design (IPD) program and Baker Institute for Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship have a nationally recognized track record of "teaching innovation" and launching successful student companies. The M.Eng. program draws upon these initiatives, as well as existing master's programs in the department of mechanical engineering.

Students interested in learning more about the M.Eng. program should review the program curriculum and admissions requirements, and complete the student inquiry form to receive additional information.
