The Newman Foundation
The purpose of the Foundation shall be:
- To assist the Lehigh University Newman Association in the performances of the public and private works designed to enhance the spiritual growth and religious enhancement of the lives of the members of the student body and faculty at Lehigh University, especially Catholic students and Catholic faculty. - To support the activities of the Catholic Campus Minister at Lehigh University insofar as they are part of the work of the Newman Association at Lehigh University and insofar as they are a function of his ministry to the Lehigh University community. (7/1/91)
- To engage in plans, programs and projects through which funds and property may be acquired and used to carry out the purposes of capital improvements and the development of Catholic intellectual life on campus. (7/1/91)
- To accomplish these purposes in a manner consistent with the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. The Foundation is a non-profit organization. (revised 3/14/1999)
- In the event of termination, dissolution or winding up of this Foundation in any manner or for any reason whatsoever, to distribute its remaining assets, if any, to one or more organizations described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954.(7/1/91)
