Hoong Su, Shire Pharmaceuticals, CMSE certificate

 

Photo of Hoong Su receiving awardWhile an employee of CimQuest, Inc., Hoong S. Su, received a Certificate from Professor Gardiner, Director of the Center for Manufacturing Systems Engineering.

At the time Hoong S. Su received his CMSE certificate, he was an employee of CimQuest, Inc., a system regulatory compliance company located in Exton, PA. One of Hoong's clients at that time, Merck & Company, Inc., partners with Lehigh University to offer distance education programming on site. Hoong was able to attend satellite classes on site at Merck.

"I was searching for an MS degree program to further my education in the area of manufacturing systems. The program had to be flexible to fit my work schedule. I applied and was accepted to the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Program at Lehigh University. The Certificate of Completion was presented to me by Professor Gardiner in recognition of the successful completion of four MSE courses."

Currently, Hoong is an employee of Shire Pharmaceuticals, a major international healthcare business engaged in research, development, manufacturing and marketing of specialty pharmaceuticals for treatments in Neuroscience, Rare Diseases, Gastrointestinal and Internal Medicine. Shire develops and markets innovative specialty medicines for symptomatic conditions.Two strategic priorties are to drive optimum performannce of existing products, and build their pipeline through research and development and business development delivering access for patients.

Hoong is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Delaware. He is designated as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. Hoong, a 1993 graduate of Widener University, holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He is married, has one child, and resides in Delaware.
