
Dear Graduate Program Pre-Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in graduate studies in Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Lehigh University. If you would like to receive the formal application package and additional graduate program information please fill out our Preliminary Application Form. This form has been designed to help us evaluate your chances of being admitted to our highly competitive program before completing the comprehensive admission forms and paying the application fee. Please complete and submit the form as soon as possible. (Note: We offer a master of sciene in manufacturing systems engineering, we do not offer a Ph.D. in this program.)
Please note the following minimum admission requirements set by the university:
International students are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 620 or 260 on the computer-scored test.
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Aptitude Test is also required with a score of 75 percentile or better (in Quantitative and Analytical areas).
An official transcript from each university attended is required. All transcripts should be converted to the American 4.0 grading scale, if possible.
Two (2) letters of recommendation from qualified individuals to evaluate the applicant's academic achievement and potential for graduate studies.
A $65 non-refundable application fee. This fee can not be waived.
The deadline for fall semester applications is July 15. The spring semester deadline is December 1. Applications for admission to part-time study are accepted through the end of the month of July.
Financial support documents must add up to the total estimated 2008/2009 yearly cost as follows: tuition ($19,800), 12 month living expenses ($10,800), health insurance ($899), and books, supplies, and fees ($1200), in the form of either family funds (original bank letter), government funds (original documents) or scholarships. There are additional expenses for dependents as well as traveling expenses. Tuition and fee costs are for the 2008-2009 academic year only and may increase for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Admission to the MSE program is NOT awarding of financial aid. Currently the Center for Manufacturing Systems Engineering does not have funds available for support of students.
