Lehigh University is located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania just 60
miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles west of New York City.
The university is composed of three contiguous campuses encompassing
1,600 acres and is easily reached via air or ground transportation.
Your classes will be held on the Asa
Packer Campus. The most convenient airport to Lehigh University
is the ABE International Airport only 5 miles away. The ABE International Airport offers connections
to all major U.S. and international destinations with air service
by: US Airways, United Express, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, TransMeridian and Continental Express. Lehigh is located near
several major highways and is served by local bus, limousine, taxi,
and car rental services (see below).
Arriving at ABE (Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton) International Airport
Cabs are available at the airport. If you would like to reserve

Bus from New York City
Take Transbridge Lines from Gate 8 or 10 at the Port Authority Bus
Terminal to South Bethlehem Bus Terminal (Adams and Mechanic Street-two

Bus from Philadelphia
Take Bieber Bus Lines from the Greyhound Terminal at 10th and Filbert
Streets, Philadelphia, to South Bethlehem Bus Terminal (Adams and

Car from Philadelphia
Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension (I-476 north)
toward Allentown. Exit at Quakertown. After toll booth turn left
onto Rt. 663 east for a few miles, and then turn left onto Rt. 309
north. Follow Rt. 309 north for about 6 miles to Rt. 378 north (right
turn). Continue along Rt. 378 for 5.3 miles to Bethlehem (over the
top of the hill). Turn right at the second blinking yellow light
(Summit Street). Travel to the end of Summit Street, which eventually
forces you to turn left onto Brodhead Avenue. Travel down Brodhead
Avenue two blocks, turning right onto Morton Street.At the end of the second block (Morton and S. New Streets) you will see Campus Square on your right (Bldg. #202 on map). If you continue to the end of the fourth block (Morton and Webster Street ) you will see Whitaker Lab (Bldg. #5 on map) on your right (the last academic building). All classes and course registration will be held in Whitaker Lab.
Car from New York City/New Jersey Area
Take I-78 west to Hellertown/Bethlehem, Exit 67. Turn right at the
end of the exit ramp onto Route 412 north. Route 412 becomes Main
Street in Hellertown. Follow Rt. 412 north for 2.9 miles (through
multiple traffic lights-you'll pass the former Bethlehem Steel on
your right) to the center of South Bethlehem. At the traffic light
(Mobil Station on your left), turn left onto S. New Street. Go straight through the next light and turn left at the main entrance to Lehigh University (S. New Street ends here). Campus Square will be on your right (Bldg. #202 on map).
Car from Washington, D.C. and Other Points South
Take I-95 north toward Baltimore. Follow I-95 through Baltimore
and Wilmington (DE) to I-476 north. Continue to Pennsylvania Turnpike
Northeast Extension and follow signs to Allentown. Follow directions
for "Car from Philadelphia" above.
Car from Points West
Exit from the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Harrisburg onto Interstate
83 north. Follow signs for I-81 north and I-78 east to Allentown.
Exit at Hellertown/Bethlehem and take Rt. 412 north. Follow directions
above for "Car from New York City/New Jesey Area." (If
you use Rt. 22 East, follow directions below-"Car from Points
North").
Car from Points North
At Syracuse take Interstate 81 south. At Scranton take the Northeast
Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-476) south. Take the Lehigh
Valley Exit at Allentown and go East on Rt. 22. Exit at Bethlehem
onto Rt. 378 south and proceed to the end of the expressway, at
the Hill-to-Hill Bridge about 3-4 miles. Stay in left lane (Third
Street lane) as you cross the bridge and bear left. After bearing
left, continue down to the traffic light at the bottom of the ramp
while staying in the right lane.
At the light (Brodhead Avenue) turn right. One block beyond next traffic light, turn left onto Morton Street . Go two blocks to Campus Square which will be on your right (Bldg. #202 on map). At the end of the fourth block (Morton and Webster Street ) you will see Whitaker Lab (Bldg. #5) on your right. All classes and course registration will be held in Whitaker Lab.
