The first step in conceiving a new or restructuring an old website is to organize content. Several years ago, IMS staff found and started using Matchware "Open Mind" software to facilitate this process.

Open Mind uses "mindmapping" for organizing, developing and presenting information. The tool creats "maps" -- which in turn represent complex ideas or processes -- to increase understanding, plan more efficiently and turn ideas into action faster.

Based on the proven Mind Mapping theory (or visual mapping), OpenMind promotes creativity, clarifies thinking and simplifies decision-making and problem solving.
