Media Center - Scanning
(8) iMac Apple computers and (8) scanners are available in the Media Center. Quick scans may be done using the scanner’s software, however if you intend to manipulate the image we recommend that you scan through PhotoShop. Staff at the service desk can assist you.
The flatbed scanners available have a bed size (dimensions of the scanning area) of up to 9 in by 12 in as well as 35mm negative and 35mm slide scanners.
Quick Mac Scanning Guide:
1) Press SCAN on the scanner itself.
2) It will perform a quick scan..
3) Adjust the edges of the dotted box to highlight the entire image.
4) Then select scan to: ‘Image File’ and click ‘Accept’.
5) Choose a save name, location and image format (.tif, .jpg, .png, etc).
