Media Center - Equipment Loan
As part of our mission to support the use of technology in teaching and learning, we have various pieces of equipment for loan. We strongly recommend that you reserve the needed items ahead of time to assure availability.
Laptops are available for rent at $5/day; $25/week (there is no charge if a laptop is used in a class and returned the same day).
Payment may be on a Bursar bill, LU Gold, Departmental Account (with approval of account executive) or by check. All laptops come with a wireless Ethernet card and a full complement of software and you are welcome to load any programs you may need. Note that the modem is set to dial Lehigh via a 610 number so if you are traveling we strongly advise that you obtain dial up support from a service provider with an 800 or a number local to your travel location. All laptops are reloaded when returned so any data you leave on them will be erased.
Computer projectors may be borrowed for use in classrooms without technology or in support of on-campus academic-related activities. They are generally not loaned overnight and are not available to support social activities or for use off-campus.
Other available equipment includes slide and overhead projectors, audio cassette players, boom boxes, small portable PA systems, Skype kits (webcam & microphone), wireless microphones, a region free DVD player (all zones), projection screens, digital audio recorders, and Turning Point clickers. We also have wireless mice equipped with laser pointers for use in computer-equipped technology classrooms and Keyspan remotes for controlling PowerPoint presentations on a laptop.
Users are responsible for any loss or damage to Media Center equipment charged out to them.
