Media Center - Classrooms

There are two classrooms in the Media Center. Our bigger room (379) seats about 29 with movable tables and chairs. The smaller room, 370d (also known as the TRLC) seats about 10-12 at movable tables. Both rooms may be reserved by calling the service desk (83059).

Projector

Room 379 has a setup typical of all LTS technology classrooms: a data projector, computer, DVD/VCR, and sound system, all controlled by a touch panel system. There is a cable provided for attachment of a laptop.

Room 370d is much more elaborate. It has a dual screen projection system, note capture board, Internet2 teleconferencing and other typical classroom features. Telephone and Skype conferencing are also available. The room seats 10-12 with movable tables and chairs. It is intended as a training and practice resource for faculty, as a technology-rich meeting environment, and as a functioning classroom. For teleconferencing, there is a camera, noise cancelling microphone, and a Polycom conferencing codec, all controlled by the instructor. Since the computer is mounted on the wall, a wireless keyboard is provided for use at the tables. A digital document camera can be brought into the room as needed. The two screens can display the same material or two different items. All controls are on the touch pad at the top of the equipment rack in the corner of the room.

TRLC 2

In addition to the VCR, Blu-ray/DVD player and digital document camera, the instructor has access to a standard Lehigh PC, a port for a user supplied laptop, and the Vadio ‘capture’ white board.
