PhD in Materials Science

A doctorate (Ph.D.) usually requires four to five years to obtain. The early years include graduate-level course work, but research work leading to the Ph.D. dissertation continues throughout. A doctorate is the basis for careers in research and teaching.

Doctoral students are generally supported through the award of research assistantships and teaching assistantships.
