Importing portal calendar data to the Gmail calendar

If you use the portal calendar, you can migrate your portal calendar to Gmail, allowing friends and family to view your calendar and take advantage of the gmail calendar sharing features. Some initial testing suggests that imported data will be displayed according to the most restrictive sharing settings of either calendar, but test your imported data to be sure. 4. Leave format as ical.
5. Choose export, and when prompted save the file export.ics to your PC desktop.

Import the file to Gmail:
1. If you have not already set up your google calendar, follow the google instructions for doing this.
2. Select Settings, then choose the Import tab.
3. Select the export.ics file.
4. Select the calendar that should contain the data.
5. Press the Import button.
