A Lehigh student reported that he was robbed at knifepoint at on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at approximately 11 p.m. on Packer Ave., near Webster St.
The suspects showed the student a knife and demanded money. The suspects
fled east. No one was harmed.
The victim describes the suspects as two African American males, in
their
early twenties. The first suspect was wearing a black shirt and the
second
suspect was wearing a red shirt. Both are described to be of medium
build.
The case is being investigated by the Bethlehem Police Department, with
assistance being provided by the Lehigh University Police Department.
Lehigh Police and Bethlehem Police have increased patrols in the
neighborhoods adjacent to campus. We ask that students and off-campus
residents report any suspicious person or activity in that area to the
Bethlehem Police Department at 610-865-7187 or to the Lehigh University
Police Department at 610-758-4200.
As a general reminder, safety is a partnership that involves the entire
Lehigh community. It is important that you continue to be vigilant in
regard to your safety.

surroundings and of all possibilities. Avoid walking alone at night.
Instead, walk with groups of people or take advantage of the TRACS bus

A Lehigh student reported an assault and attempted robbery on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at
approximately 8:30 p.m. in the area of 5th and Taylor Sts.
One of the suspects hit the student in the side of the head and he
dropped to the ground. The suspects demanded the student's bag but he did not
give it to them. The student ran West towards his home and the suspects ran
North towards 4th St.
The victim describes the suspects as seven young males between 15-16
years of age. The suspects were wearing dark colored hoodies and jeans.
The case is being investigated by the Bethlehem Police Department.

On Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at approximately 11:40 p.m., an attempted robbery took place
on the corner of East Fifth and Taylor streets. The victim, who is a Lehigh student, was not injured.
The victim was able to provide a description of the suspects, who fled
the scene when the victim called for help and individuals in the immediate
area responded. The suspects were described as three males, two identified as
black males and one of unknown race. All were between 5 foot, 10 inches
tall and 6 feet, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
Lehigh Police and Bethlehem Police have increased patrols in the
neighborhoods adjacent to campus. Anyone with information is encouraged
