LOCK, CARD or KEY PROBLEMS
Work Orders can be sent to Work Order Central through FSWORK or by phone to 758-3940 or 758-3941.
The first thing to understand is that the better you are able to define
the problem, the faster and more efficiently the problem can be solved.

- In general , use the information above to call Work Order
Central ( 758-3940 for Fraternities, or 758-3941 for Residence Halls or
Academic Buildings ) during business hours ( or follow the Voice
mail instructions at that number for after hours non-emergency
situations ), or the Campus Police ( 758-4200 ) for after hours Access Card emergencies.
- Response time varies depending on the severity of the
problem and the availability of technicians.
- In true emergency
situations you will generally see a technician on-site ( during working
hours ) in under fifteen minutes.
- Most average situations are examined within 24 hours. However, in
situations where the problem is not of a vital nature, ( such as a lock
that is accepting keys but "sticks" every once in a while ) the
response could be delayed by as much as three days.
- Response time may vary due to availability of technicians at various
times of the year. The Office of Access Control and Locksmithing must
frequently set priorities that most users will be unaware of. At these
times, response time may seem unreasonably long to you. We apologise in
advance for those times, but rest assured, they are unavoidable and are
not intended to minimize your needs or the problem you are experiencing.
