     Applications of Nonlinear Optics for material characterization. Second and third order nonlinear optical effects; Charge carrier mobility in photoconductive materials and its determination by optical means; Interplay between local and nonlocal, third order and second order nonlinear effects in degenerate four-wave mixing; Charge-transport in novel systems like organic crystals and organic thin films for light-emitting diodes and field-effect transistors.
