The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is one of the largest and most visible student organizations at Lehigh University. RHA is the chief legislative body of students living in residence halls. We serve as the primary means of communication between the student residents and the administration, conveying residence hall concerns and advocating student-driven change. RHA also provides a wide range of services, including large social, recreational and educational programs, to meet the needs and interests of residence hall students.

Each year, RHA organizes the First-Year Student Carnival on Move in Day. The carnival includes inflatables, carnival games, snow cones/cotton candy, Dance Dance Revolution, a DJ, and even a fire-eater. It is one of the most successful and well-attended programs held on campus. During the school year RHA sponsors tons of other great programs for students including haunted house tours near Halloween, ‘Nightmare on the Quad,’ Ice Skating, and many more.

Everyone who resides in a University residence hall is automatically a member of their building’s House Council. Additionally, there is opportunity for student leadership and involvement within each House Council. All House Councils are guided by the overarching RHA executive board. A small portion of every resident's housing fee goes to funding these organizations. Any student can attend Hall Council meetings to find out what is going on in your area or on campus.

Since its formation, RHA has proved to be a phenomenal opportunity for students to gain valuable leadership skills, and gain significant experience planning and budgeting for large events. Elections are held each year in August for House Councils and in March for the Executive Board. This is a great opportunity for students to get involved!
