Frequently Asked Questions
How can I become a Gryphon?
You must make an application and complete a rigorous selection process to become a Gryphon. The process begins with a mandatory information session in October and concludes with a day-long interview activity just after the Spring semester begins in January.
How can I become part of House Council or RHA?
Elections to your building's House Council are held at the beginning of each year. RHA elections are held near the end of the academic year for positions to commence the following academic year. Speak with your RLC about your interest.
What is the deal with Lottery?
Lottery is the process by which rooms are selected for the next academic year. It begins in late January-early February when Lottery deposits are due. Information sessions are traditionally held in each building at the beginning of the Spring semester and a guidebook is distributed, which will have all the information you need about Lottery. Further information can be found on the Residential Services page.

What is this "Damage Billing" on my Bursar bill?
Each resident is individually responsible for the Lehigh property in his room. With other members of the living unit (for example, a hall/floor, an entire building), residents are collectively responsible for the Lehigh property in that area. Charges related to student damage discovered on a hallway is shared among the residents on that hallway unless an individual can be found to accept responsibility for the damage.
