Launch-IT Objectives:
Launch-IT will include Saturday and Summer programs on IT. Rising 7th and 8th graders will learn how to program remotely controlled mobile robots in a simulated Martian landscape. Rising 9th and 10th graders will learn how to create a web-based music juke box using Flash. Rising 11th and 12th graders will enhance a “design first” approach to learning Java, preparing for the AP exam for college credit. Students will also enhance their communication, math & science skills, improving their college and career prospects. Field trips will demonstrate IT and career opportunities at Lehigh and local corporations.
