The Launch-IT Program was created to launch Lehigh Valley students towards college and careers in Information Technology (IT). Sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Technology Alliance (PITA) and hosted at Lehigh University, Launch-IT's Information Technology program is intended for 6th grade through 12th grade students who may be considered at-risk, with limited exposure to IT and college.

Launch-IT students will learn how to design exciting software, meet successful "real world" IT professionals, improve skills with the help of state-of-the-art educational software, get one-on-one & group tutoring from expert teachers and college students, and get a head start on college and career opportunities available within the vast field of Information Technology.

  • For more details and information on the Launch-IT Program, please see our first annual report describing our startup and activities for the spring of 2007 and our interim report describing our activities from the summer of 2007 (pdf files)
