Our mission is to promote Indian and South Asian culture and raise awareness on campus by providing cultural and social events, as well as giving back to our community. Learn about some of our events and see how you can get involved.
This year, as a celebration for Lehigh's 150th Birthday, the Indian Student Association, in conjunction with India Club and Leela, put on a cultural show called "Namaste Lehigh" to celebrate South Asian diversity at Lehigh. Members from all over Lehigh helped put on a show that included a skit celebrating Indian culture and diversity, dance performances and musical performances. The event also showcased how not all members of the Indian Student Association and India Club are from South Asia, but from various backgrounds as we are "Lehigh Strong."

The annual Diwali Show is a great way for members of the Indian Student Association and the Lehigh community to come together to put on a cultural show. It brings together both underclassmen and upperclassmen to become more engaged in ISA. The show features dance performances, musical numbers, skits, poety recitings and much more. Both the members and audience are awed by the talent on the stage. Regardless of what talents you may have, everyone and participate in the show.
The annual Garba event falls in or near Navratri, a Gujrati religious celebration. Don't know Garba or how to do Raas? That's okay - everyone is welcome to come learn. Partipants come dressed in traditional Indian outfits that include Saris, Chaniya Cholis and Kurtas. The night is full of color clothing, a lot of dancing and good Indian food.

The most colorful event at Lehigh, Holi is the Indian Student Association's biggest event as well as Lehigh's biggest cultural event. An afternoon of getting blasted with all colors, eating great food and dancing, Holi attracts over 600 members of the Lehigh community. Every year the event gets bigger and better. Dance groups at Lehigh like Leela put on performances while members of ISA put on a flash mob.
The Goose Fundraiser
To raise money for the club and its affiliated charities, ISA holds a fundraiser event at the Goose where members take shifts to work alongside the Goose staff. Portion of the sales from that night go to ISA.
