Navigation

  1. When traversing a website, one should never be "lost in hyperspace."

  2. The navigation tools must be intuitive - meaning the user should be able to figure it out easily.

  3. Navigation tools should be identical throughout, unless the user is being led through a closed sequence.

  4. The user should always be able to go back to the homepage of the site.

  5. If filling out forms, the user should be able to save his/her work.

  6. Navigation tools should be tested thoroughly before they are mounted on a site.
