The IMRC supports a steerable
C/Ku band 8 foot satellite dish. All news, cultural and sports downlinks are
available throughout the Lehigh Campus on Channel 21
upon request, if the downlink is in the open (not digitized
or encoded).
Teleconferences (events downlinked
on a special basis) are available by request and organizations
may contract the facility for such a purpose. All
satellite events can be viewed throughout Maginnes
Hall, but are are normally shown in the World View
Room (Room 490 Maginnes), a comfortable lounge-type
setting with a large-screen television. The room is
available during all IMRC open hours for viewing downlinks
of satellite programs or any internal cable channel.

The steerable dish is set on
the default of SCOLA, an international news distributor
with a 24 hour a day schedule. For more information,
or to find out SCOLA's news schedule for Channel 1,
click on the SCOLA icon on the right.
A variety of foreign languate
programs including German, Spanish and French are
streamed through Deutsche Welle, a channel which is
produced in Germany and distributed in the United
States. To see what is available, please click on
the "DW" icon on the right.
Schedules for Scola, DW, and
the International Channel are availale by clicking
on the appropriate icon on the right. Scola can be
seen on the Academic Channel (which is available on
channel 21 of the Campus Cable Network). The International
Channel is channel 75. DW programs are found on the
International Channel and are also streamed online.
