Overview
Macromedia Dreamweaver's Template feature provides a powerful web design feature. Templates allow you to base the pages of your site around a single design, and set specefic areas of a design that should differ from page to page.
Using this method, you can create multiple pages from one template. If the design of the pages change you can simply change the design on the template, and the changes will cascade down through all pages created from the template. You no longer will have to edit each individual page. This streamlines the creation and maintenace of entire websites.
Dreamweaver templates also hook directly into Macromedia, allowing you to design a website that will be locked to other users except in the areas you specifiy. For more information on how to use Macromedia Contribute once the site has been set up in Dreamweaver please vist http://www.lehigh.edu/~inimr/contribute/.
