Training and Development

Learning and performance have always been important to Lehigh staff members. They are becoming increasingly important as we implement the Staff Employment Value Strategy. Professional development and career opportunities were two items that staff members selected as important rewards for working at Lehigh. These two areas were emphasized during 2006 and continue to receive significant attention and a strong commitment of resources from Lehigh management and from Human Resources (HR) in 2007. We have defined the Core Success Factors that are critical for success at Lehigh.

Many staff members are actively involved in furthering their education, developing skills to enhance current peformance, or developing new skills to prepare for future career opportunities. Review the schedule of programs and resources and sign up for an opportunity to learn. Job Family Compass Guides include lists of development opportunities in a variety of areas recommended by job family members. The Individual Development Plans are a useful tool to identify potential areas and methods to learn. This Website lists training and development resources used by employees through the BEST Program.
