2010 Flexible Benefits Open Enrollment Open enrollment for 2010 flexible benefits will be from Friday, November 13 through Tuesday, December 1, 2009 (see November Spotlight). Representatives from Capital BlueCross, Medco, Davis Vision, Integrated Behavioral Health, and the ConcordiaFlex dental insurance plan will be on campus on November 17 and 18, from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Visit them in the third floor faculty lounge in the University Center (both days) or in the foyer of the Wood Dining Room on the second floor of Iacocca Hall (November 17 only). |
2010 Changes to Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment Benefits in Lehigh's Medical Coverage Plans In accordance with the Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity Act and Addiction Equity Act, the annual and lifetime day and visit limits for mental health and substance abuse treatment benefits have been removed from all four of the University’s medical coverage options. There are no other changes for these benefits under the Keystone Health Plan Central HMO and the Preferred Provider Organization 100 plans. A new requirement for pre-authorization of inpatient services, partial hospitalization, and intensive out-patient treatment programs for mental health and substance abuse treatment has been added to the Comprehensive Major Medical (CMM) and Preferred Provider Organization 80 (PPO-80). Adverse Weather Policy Reminder A pilot program was launched in 2007 that classefies employees as Essential Services Staff, Instructional Staff, and Non-Instructional Staff for the purpose of establishing an adverse weather protocol for potential delayed reporting and University closings.
