Flexible Benefits Plan
Individual faculty and staff members have different benefit needs, so instead of giving everyone the same benefits, Flexible Benefits offer a variety of options. Eligible employees choose what’s best for their personal situation. Since benefit needs may change from year to year, Flexible Benefits provide employees the opportunity to make new benefit selections each year.
Full time faculty members are eligible to participate in the Flexible Benefits Plan beginning on their first work day. Coverage begins on the day that completed enrollment materials are received in Human Resources.
Full time staff members are eligible to participate in the Flexible Benefits Plan on the first of the month following the staff member's first work day and will be terminated on the last day of the month which includes the staff member's last work day.
Employees may choose to provide benefit coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents.
The benefits available through the Flexible Benefits Plan include:
Benefit elections made during the employee’s initial enrollment or during the annual open enrollment period cannot be changed until the next annual open enrollment period unless the employee experiences a Qualifying Life Event.
Additional information about the Flexible Benefits Plan is available in the Guide to Open Enrollment.
