Lehigh University has a strong commitment to the health, safety, and welfare of its faculty and staff members and their families. The University recognizes that a variety of personal problems can disrupt their personal and work lives and offers the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to assist them during difficult times.
The EAP, managed by Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH), is available to eligible employees and dependents who want their assistance. The EAP provides confidential access to professional counseling services for help in confronting such personal problems as alcohol and other substance abuse, marital and family difficulties, financial or legal troubles, and emotional distress. It offers problem assessment, short-term counseling, and referral to appropriate community and private services.
The benefit available to eligible faculty and staff members and their dependents includes three assessment/brief service counseling sessions per incident at no cost to the employee.
The benefit also provides access to the Work-Life Resources Website that provides a wealth of information on issues of concern and/or interest to faculty and staff members. Contact Human Resources for a username and password to access the site.
