Seth Goren

Director of Jewish Student Life,
Associate Chaplain

Originally from Oreland, PA, Seth headed into Philadelphia for college and studied linguistics aSeth Goren - Director of Lehigh Hillelt the University of Pennsylvania. Faced with the challenge of finding a job related to his less-than-practical major, he left the U.S. to teach English in a small town in the Czech Republic and later returned to Penn for law school, doing a brief stint at the Israeli Ministry of Justice.

After working as an attorney for five years, Seth headed off to rabbinical school in Israel and New York and was ordained at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in 2007. During his HUC-JIR tenure, Seth served Congregation B’nai Israel in Laconia, N.H. as a student rabbi, interned as the Program Director at Princeton University’s Center for Jewish Life/Hillel and was involved with the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs and the Jewish FundS for Justice.

In his spare time, Seth enjoys running, playing the piano and the all-too-rare treat of watching the Eagles win post-season games. He is a terrible, terrible dancer.

 

Rebecca Roberts Beels

Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Jewish Student Life

 

Rebecca attended Messiah College and graduated in 2004 with a degree in American History. Following her graduation she landed a sweet job with one of the loves of her life, books. After five years at the Midtown Scholar Bookstoreshe moved to Bethlehem with her spouse, who decided to pursue a degree in Physics. At some point in the future she may continue her studies in a field undetermined as of yet. She would also love to shepherd a herd of goats. For the present, she is involved with the day to day activities of Jewish sutdent life and the Jewish Student Center.

 

Erin Jenkins

Erin is a fabulous baker and organizer. Weekly she takes care of students to satisfy their hunger and thirst.

 

 

 

Scott McNevin

Amazing Chef

 

Scott McNevin is our wonderful chef who cheers us weekly with deliciously decadent kosher meals. Scott was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and was trained as a chef at North Hampton Community College Culinary School (he highly recommends the Hampton Winds). He thoroughly enjoys the outdoors and also works as a volunteer for a local fire department.
