Professional Development

A key component of what we do here at the Graduate Life Office is prepare our students for life beyond Lehigh. We work with on-campus resources to provide opportunities for students to practice their networking, communication, and job seeking skills. Read below to learn more.

Dissertation Boot Camp

The purpose of Dissertation Boot Camp is to give students uninterrupted time to work on the ultimate project that will move students from candidates to doctorates. We want our students to be well-supported in their disseration, thesis, and other important writing projects, and that is what DBC is all about.

Teacher Development

As graduate students, there are many opportunities to teach and serve as a teaching assistant throughout the college. Through this program co-presented with the Faculty Development Program, we aim to prepare our students for achieving excellence as TAs and young faculty.

Working with Career Services

Through a partnership with Lynn D'Angelo, Assistant Director, Graduate Student Counseling & Career Development, the Graduate Life Office has been able to offer resources and training opportunities to Graduate Students to better prepare and professionalize students for life after Lehigh. See the links below for more information on our partnership and resources available to Graduate Students.
