Balance Mind, Body and Soul is a newly developed program supporting the Lehigh community with the latest in nutrition and health information. You can calculate the nutritional values of your meals with the Nutrition Calculator or Ask the Dietitian a question! This web site is intended to provide you with information that promotes balance through healthy living.

Purpose of the Web Site:

Balance, Mind, Body and Soul is a newly developed program supporting Sodexho guests with the latest in nutrition and health information. This web site is intended to provide you with information that promotes balance through healthy living.

Food Facts:

Gives a general overview of health and wellness concerning healthy eating on a college campus. Gives an in-depth look at vitamins, minerals, and other important eating tips.

" The Dietician is in"

Click on this link in the toolbar on the Balance homepage to ask Rebecca Berman, R.D., a certified dietician, any possible question concerning healthy diets. All questions are kept completely anonymous and no personal information or school information will be displayed.

"Balanced Recipes"

This section offers healthy recipes that can be whipped up at school and still leave time for all those other collegiate activities.

Mediterranean Lentils with Pasta

. 12 ounces of orzo

. 1/2 pound of brown lentils, rinsed

. 3 cups of water

. 1 tablespoon of olive oil

. 2 onions, diced

. 3 cloves of garlic, minced

. 1 teaspoon of coriander

. 1 teaspoon of cumin

. 2 tablespoons of plain, nonfat yogurt

"Nutrition Calculator"

The nutrition calculator allows you to select specific foods from your daily diet and calculate your daily caloric intake to ensure a healthy eating lifestyle tailored to your personal needs.

"Body Mass Index Calculator (BMI)"

This program allows you to enter your specific body attributes in order correctly gauge your daily caloric intake.
