Reflection of the Portfolio
Creating this portfolio was a worthwhile learning experience.  I utilized not only my teaching creativity, but also my knowledge and technological expertise.  I found it exciting to accumulate my lesson plans, resources, video clips, knowledge of PA standards, philosophy and various communication plans.  This allows me to share me experience and teaching views with an audience,  Another aspect i found helpful while creating this portfolio was the rubric.  This detailed exactly what needed to be covered and places within the portfolio.

An evolution of teaching thought and experience occurred as this portfolio was produced.  I recall remarking to a fellow Intern Teacher how much I had changed as a result of my Intern Teaching experience.  This was fully realized as the portfolio was linked together.  One item within the portfolio that has changed drastically was my Philosophy of Teaching and Learning.  This section was initially one page.  As time progressed during the Intern Teaching experience, I realized that more needed to be added, deleted, or better explained.  Now, the philosophy os truly reflective of my classroom practices.

As a result of the portfolio creation, I have become and aware and empowered teacher.  I have utilized technology within the classroom, catered lesson plans to the needs of my learners, created authentic assessment activities, and facilitated students intellectual growth through cooperative learning activities.  All of these components displayed within my portfolio define my flexibility and versatility as a classroom teacher.
