I'm a student at Lehigh University
where, I'm pursuing a Master's degree in Teacher Education (specializing
in Biology--Secondary Level). I will graduate this spring. A little bit
about myself: I was born in the Bahamas, where I attended elementary and
secondary school. I went to Lafayette College as an undergraduate, where
I majored in Biology (BS).

Purpose of Portfolio:
Despite being a course rquirement, this portfolio is invaluable because it helps to represent me. It can show effectively what my thoughts, my feelings are regarding the teaching profession. By expressing my philosophies and ideas in this format. I would like or at least hope that one could see what I bring to the this vocation. Besides assisting in a job search, I found that this portfolio effectively helped me to articulate the relationship between theory and practice and in a way was helpful in making me a beter teacher.
