- How can God help us during the
tough times of the school year? READ James 1:4-5
- Have you ever studied very hard
for a big test and not done so well? How can God help us to overcome the
failure and turn it into eventual success? READ James 5:7-8
- What are some of the ways that
we can deal with a schedule full of classes and practices, day in and day
out, and still make time for God?
- What does the Bible say about
hard work and determination, for the purpose of a goal? READ Proverbs
6:6-11
- In terms of learning how to deal
with trials, the book of James is an excellent companion. It can be applied
to almost any type of problem we have- school, sports, family, friends, etc.
A lot of the verses that you can use to help you persevere during an injury
or losing streak in your sport can also be used to help you get through a
bad string of tests or even problems with teachers or classmates.
- Also, keep in mind the important
idea of transitioning from the lazy days of summer to the intense nights of
studying in FairMart or your room. It is a very abrupt change in the
physical, mental, and spiritual sense. Learning to trust in God and knowing
that being intent and working hard is glorifying in his name will help you
to get through all the late nights.
- “Don’t worry about anything, but
in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every
thought, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Phillipians
4:6-7
“And we pray this in order that you may live a life
worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good
work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
~Colossians 1:10
