Mission Statement

The Office of Facilities Services & Campus Planning strives to provide a comprehensive campus and facilities management service through an integrated approach to planning, thereby creating and sustaining physical environments that are conducive to the diverse characteristics of Lehigh's educational mission. We must assess the ever changing physical needs of the university in general, as well as those of its individual subgroups, and ensure, as much as possible, that these needs are addressed in a timely fashion through integrative campus master plans for new buildings, renovations, and maintenance. In providing this service, we should balance all aspects of facilities management, including program fulfillment, efficient use of physical and financial resources, attention to long-term maintenance and operational costs, quality of space and materials, compliance with life-safety codes, and adherence to established policies and guidelines. By preserving and enhancing the architectural heritage and integrity of the campus, we strive to provide an attractive and functional environment that will serve as an invaluable resource in attracting and retaining quality students, faculty and staff.
