MAY 2013 NEWS

Richard Eime, Boiler Operator, has received the Barbara R. and John W. Woltjen Award for exceptional service as a member of the Facilities Services organization.  Congratulations Rich!

Delicia Nahman, Sustainability Officer, has received the Alfred Noble Robinson award for her outstanding work at improving the culture of sustainability at Lehigh. Congratulations Delicia!

Kirk Williams, HVAC Technician, has received the LUPD Citizen Award for his support of a police matter at Goodman Campus.  Congratulations Kirk!

Thanks to the great work by many members of the Library and Technology Services, Dining Services, Transportation Services, and Facilities Services & Campus Planning teams, Wing C2 of Building C on Mountaintop Campus was opened for summer projects on May 21, 2013, less than two weeks after purchasing the building.

Lehigh University welcomes the martins to campus.  While this may sound like another sports camp, it's actually an effort to draw birds to campus to help reduce the insect population at Goodman Campus.

Lehigh University has planted over 300 new or replacement trees in the last year or so.  Richard Benner, Lehigh's Grounds Manager, has led this effort with the support of the Brickman grounds team.

In May 2013, University Access Control occupied their newly renovated space at 42 University Drive.  In the 2,500 square foot location, functions that were previously separate are now more efficiently located together.  The renovation of what was once an old single story garage was designed by Steven Glickman Architect.
