International students with intermediate or higher level of English proficiency
who will be at least 17 years old by their program start date are encouraged
to enroll in the StepUp program. Please see
"Who is eligible for StepUp?" for more information. A completed enrollment form includes the following parts: 1. Enrollment Form: Complete the entire enrollment form, making sure to indicate which StepUp classes you are applying to. Sign and date. 2. Enrollment Fee and Deposit: A complete enrollment form must include a $250 non-refundable deposit. There is no enrollment fee but forms will not be processed until the $250 tuition deposit has been recieved. 3. Proof of Financial Support: Original documents proving full financial support should be submitted with your form. Financial support documents must be originals(no photocopies) and should indicate that sufficient funds are available to cover the cost of StepUp tuition and living expenses of at least $900 per month for the duration of your StepUp studies. Student visa issuance at American embassies and consulates can take as long as 3 months or more from the time that you receive an I-20 from Lehigh. Admissions: After the StepUp office receives your enrollment form and $250 deposit, your acceptance letter, final bill, and orientation information will be sent to you. |
Payment Information: Payments must be made in U.S. dollars by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), personal check drawn on a U.S. bank, or by direct wire transfer. If you pay by wire transfer, send or fax a copy of the wire transfer receipt with your Enrollment form. Direct wire transfers are commonly assessed a processing fee by both the sending and receiving banks. For international students who enter the U.S. as a "J" visa holder, U.S. law requires full insurance coverage. The StepUp program does not provide medical insurance for participants, so you will need to make your own insurance arrangements. Visa and Financial Support Information: The Office of International Students and Scholars at Lehigh will issue the immigration documents necessary for you to attend StepUp only upon receipt of a completed StepUp enrollment and proof of full financial support.
