Undergraduate Opportunities There are several options for undergraduate students who wish to participate in energy research at Lehigh. This can be done during the academic year through projects carried out in special project courses or as senior theses. Each project of this type is unique and is usually designed in concert with a faculty member from the student's major academic department. The faculty member then serves as the faculty mentor for the duration of the project. There are also opportunities during the Summer months for undergraduate research participation. The Energy Research Center sponsors Energy Research Internships for undergraduates. In addition, individual faculty with externally sponsored research projects frequently hire undergraduate students to work with them as project assistants.
