Vitae:
Timothy Dorner Anderson was born on Dec. 5th, 1980 in Huntingdon, PA, to his parents Lynn and Dolores Anderson. Subsequently raised in Carlisle, PA, he found great success in his academic efforts, particularly at Carlisle High School. In 1999, Tim elected to attend college at Lehigh University. When it became time to select a major, he found a home in the Materials Science & Engineering Dept., where he soon flourished. Outside of academia, Tim gave back to the university as a student computing consultant for Lehigh Technological Services, as a DJ for Lehigh's own 91.3 WLVR FM radio station, and as an employee for the campus dining services. He was an active member of numerous honor societies, even serving as Vice President for the Student Materials Society in his senior year. He earned his B.S. and graduated with highest honors in 2003. Afterwards, Tim elected to attend graduate school at Lehigh University as a member of the Engineering Metallurgy Group. He earned his Master's Degree in Materials Science & Engineering in September 2005, shortly after passing the department's Ph.D. qualifying exam. After graduating, Tim will begin his professional career at the ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company in Houston, TX.
