The Radiation Safety Program provides for the safety of personnel, students, and the public during operations involving ionizing radiation sources and x-ray producing equipment. Working in conjunction with the Radiation Safety Committee and guidelines approved in the University's State and Federal licenses, Environmental Health and Safety administers the Radiation Safety Program to ensure all exposures to radioactive materials are kept to a level as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA).
