Bloodborne Pathogens Policy
The purpose of the Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control Program is to protect employees from exposure to bloodborne agents (HIV, HBV, etc.) and to ensure that all occupational and research activities are conducted in a manner consistent with Lehigh University's Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control Program and 29 CFR 1910.1030.
Any researcher who plans to use any human product (ex. blood, semen, sera, tumor cells, etc.) or conducts recombinant DNA research must call Environmental Health and Safety to discuss the scope of the research project.
