Thesis, Dissertation and Program Requirements

Lehigh bestows the degrees of Master of Science (M.S.), Master of Engineering (M.E.), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) on candidates who:

  • Demonstrate proficiency and high attainment in a specialized field of knowledge.
  • Carry on independant investigation in their field of study

Proof of these benchmarks is the presentation of an acceptable thesis or dissertation that embodies the result of the candidate's original research.
