Chapter of The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers starts at Lehigh University

The Lehigh University Chapter of The Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, better known as SASE at Lehigh, was founded in August 2014.

The founding members were comprised of undergraduate Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering students Vuong Nguyen, Olivia Yang, Caitlyn Tzou, Joseph Bhaskar, Yong Jin, and Eiman Elkafrawi along with graduate Industrial and Systems Engineering student Xing Wang. The inaugural executive board consisted of Olivia Yang, President; Caitlyn Tzou, Vice President; Joseph Bhaskar, Secretary; Yong Jin, Treasurer; and Vincent Lee, Public Relations.

SASE at Lehigh’s mission is to help Lehigh University students develop valuable professional skills and to build their network by fostering a sense of community through holding social, cultural, and professional events. The Chapter looks to promote the community of Asian scientists and engineers through effective programs directed towards building a professional network within and outside of Lehigh University.
