Chemical Engineering program receives full ABET accreditation

The Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) recently concluded their evaluation of the Chemical Engineering program at Lehigh University. The evaluation was based on a two day visit of an externally appointed ABET program evaluator. The program received full accreditation.

ABET accreditation provides assurance that the Chemical Engineering program meets certain criteria and standards that have been developed and accepted by US engineering communities. Many other universities around the world are also using ABET accreditation as a means to ensure that their programs meet the same high standards as those provided by US accredited institutions.
