Lehigh alumnus Dr. Leonidas Bleris publishes a paper in PNAS on cellular networks.

Dr. Leonidas Bleris received his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2006 at Lehigh University under the supervision of Dr. Mayuresh Kothare, Chairman and Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Dr. Bleris' interdisciplinary training, cutting across control theory, electrical circuits and chemical microreactors and microfluidic devices naturally led him to pursue yet another discipline -- systems biology -- in his postdoctoral studies at Harvard University.

Subsequently, in his own research group as an Associate Professor of Bioengineering at U. of Texas-Dallas, Dr. Bleris recently published a paper entitled "“Discriminating Direct and Indirect Connectivities in Biological Networks,”with co-authors Taek Kang, Richard Moore, Yi Li, and with collaborator Dr. Eduardo Sontag from Rutgers.
