Virtually all companies use some form of outsourcing to support their supply chain operations - most use conventional approaches that have inherent flaws and can drive incorrect incentives. Research has shown that some of the most progressive companies are using a concept known as Vested Outsourcing to drive a competitive advantage for all parties.   This session will share the 5 Rules of Vested Outsourcing that can help you challenge current conventional outsourcing strategies for your organization and help you build a competitive advantage through better outsourcing.

Session 3: Improving Forecast Accuracy to Achieve Competitive Advantage

The ability to forecast accurately provides companies with a significant competitive advantage. Good forecasts can identify new markets and trends, anticipate disruptions, and correctly estimate demands. Poor forecasts, on the other hand, result in excess inventories, poor customer services, and missed market opportunities. More technology and new software are not the answer. The key is an understanding of basic forecasting principles that have been developed from studying forecasting practices of dozens of successful companies. This session will explain these forecasting principles and show how they can be applied in companies to achieve a competitive advantage.
